Our Hearing Instrument Specialists

Todd Gabaldon

Todd Gabaldon is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He moved to Arizona in 1995 to open a restaurant with his family and has stayed here ever since. In 2005, Todd became a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and has worked as a Paradise Hearing provider for 17 years. In 2019, he became the owner of Paradise Hearing alongside his wife, Heather.

Making a difference in people’s lives by helping them hear better is an honor to Todd. Through better hearing, his patients can engage with their loved ones and return to enjoying life. Todd finds it incredibly rewarding to help the people in his beloved community experience better hearing.

Todd loves sports, comedy shows, and dogs. When he is not at one of our seven offices, he enjoys spending time with his and Heather’s five rescue dogs and working with their timid foster dogs.

Heather Gabaldon

Heather Gabaldon grew up in New Jersey and moved to Arizona in 1999 to attend ASU. She was an elementary school teacher and then worked as a spokesmodel and a production manager for a local film company. Now she is happy to be the owner of Paradise Hearing alongside her husband, Todd.

Heather enjoys volunteering with dog rescues, hiking, and paddleboarding in her spare time.

Tonja Mere

Tonja Mere started her career in hearing healthcare as a receptionist. Through her hard work and caring nature with patients, she was promoted to technician, and then in 2001, she became a licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser. She worked for one of the largest medical clinics in Michigan before moving to Arizona, and she spent five years as a district manager overseeing 21 locations in multiple states before joining Paradise Hearing over a year ago.

After many years in hearing healthcare, Tonja prefers to work one-on-one with her patients. She believes nothing is more rewarding than seeing the change on people’s faces when they can finally hear again.

Tonja enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and reading. She loves all animals but dogs are her favorite. Knowing that Paradise Hearing donates a part of its earnings to foundations that support dog rescues is a bonus for her.

Tom Lehnerer

Tom Lehnerer has been a Hearing Instrument Specialist for 23 years. He was born in Chicago but moved quite often. Finally, he ended up in Arizona because of his family and the great weather. Tom can meet many different people, and he enjoys being able to share in their excitement to be able to hear again.

Tom enjoys spending time with his friends and family, traveling, and experiencing new places. He also loves to play golf.

Nancy Venegas

Nancy Venegas has been a part of the Paradise Hearing team for seven years. She enjoys meeting and greeting everyone who comes to Paradise Hearing. It is an unbeatable feeling for Nancy to see the people who leave our office with hearing aids and feel like our team was able to truly help someone hear again.

Nancy is an Arizona native and feels the heat in the summer makes for great outdoor weather from October through April. Nancy and her family like to enjoy the weather by exploring Arizona's beauty.

Nancy is bilingual in English and Spanish.

How We Give Back to Our Community

Heather Gabaldon, owner of Paradise Hearing with her dogs

Todd and Heather have volunteered and fostered for Breeder Release Adoption Service for over 13 years. Breeder Release Adoption Service is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Colorado with foster homes in CO, NM, and AZ.

The mission of Breeder Release is to “Provide help and comfort to dogs who are being released from breeders for any reasons, surrendered dogs who the owners can no longer care for, and dogs who are placed on euthanasia lists in shelters. We educate the public on the importance of altering their pets, preventing euthanasia, and the need to rescue abandoned pets. Finally, we provide support for senior dogs, hospice dogs, cruelty prevention, and assistance during emergencies. ”

Over the years, Todd and Heather have personally fostered and found wonderful homes for over 90 dogs and counting! Heather has also volunteered at the shelter in Colorado, assisted in transporting dogs from the CO shelter to AZ foster homes, and volunteered at many of the local adoption events here in AZ. They believe it is important to educate the public on the benefits of adoption. So many wonderful dogs are available at the shelter and in rescue groups.

We donate a portion of our earnings to Breeder Release Rescue every year.
